Terms
Two sets of terms live on this page. The noFriction app is licensed under Apple's standard EULA, with the subscription notes below. The nofriction.io website and No Friction's consulting services have their own Terms of Service, further down.
noFriction app
The noFriction app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA). That agreement is the license for the app. This section summarizes the subscription terms and adds a few notes specific to noFriction.
noFriction Pro subscription
- What it unlocks: the AI features: notes in the style of each recording type, follow-up email drafts and review guides, and on the Mac also chat across your recordings, live insights, reports, meeting prep briefs and screenshot analysis. Recording, transcription, recording types, Notebooks, timed recording, marks, links, calendar matching, people, photos and screenshots, search and export stay free.
- Plans and prices: $0.99 a month or $5.99 a year, auto-renewing. noFriction Pro is offered in the United States. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.
- Free trial: eligible new subscribers get a 1-week free trial. Its length is shown before you confirm. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Payment: charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when the free trial ends).
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and canceling: in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, in the App Store app, or from noFriction's Settings → Subscription. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- One purchase, all your devices: noFriction Pro works on iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. Use Restore Purchases in Settings → Subscription on a new device.
- Refunds: Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your AI
noFriction offers no hosted AI models. AI features run on Apple's on-device model or on one OpenAI-compatible endpoint you enter yourself, with an optional key you supply. A noFriction Pro subscription doesn't include usage from any AI service: if your endpoint charges for use, its operator bills you directly, and its terms and privacy policy apply to what you send it. AI output can be wrong. Check notes, action items, emails and review guides before you rely on them or send them.
Recording laws
Many places require everyone in a conversation to agree before it is recorded. You are responsible for telling participants and for getting any consent the law requires before you record. Many schools require the instructor's permission to record a class; check your school's policy.
Your content
Your recordings, transcripts, photos, screenshots and notes are yours. They are stored on your device. We have no servers and no copy of them, so we can't recover them for you if you delete them or lose your device.

Website Terms of Service
Summary: These Terms of Service govern your use of the NoFriction website and services operated by CCA Innovations OU. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the NoFriction website and services ("Services"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CCA Innovations OU, doing business as No Friction ("NoFriction," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Services
NoFriction provides IP monetization consulting, AI orchestration, technology strategy, and related professional services. We offer information and resources through our website and direct engagement with clients. The specific scope of services is defined in individual client agreements.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
- Provide accurate and complete information when interacting with our Services
- Maintain the confidentiality of any account credentials
- Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
- Not use the Services to transmit harmful or malicious content
- Not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the Services without express written permission
4. Intellectual Property
All content on the NoFriction website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, software, methodologies, frameworks, and documentation, is the property of CCA Innovations OU or its licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.
5. Confidentiality
Any non-public information shared between parties in connection with the Services shall be treated as confidential. Neither party shall disclose confidential information to third parties without the prior written consent of the disclosing party, except as required by law or as necessary to perform the Services.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NoFriction and CCA Innovations OU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, regardless of the theory of liability.
Our total liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CCA Innovations OU, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Estonian Arbitration Association, unless the parties mutually agree to an alternative forum.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
